Settimo Vittone village

Settimo Vittone is a picturesque village in the “Dora Baltea Mountain Community” within the Canavese area. Today Settimo Vittone is within easy reach via National Highway A5 (Turin-Aosta, Quincinetto exit), National Road SS26 (Chivasso-Aosta), Provincial Road n° 72 (Settimo Vittone – Nomaglio) and the Chivasso-Aosta railway (Borgofranco d’Ivrea station).

 As in the Middle Ages, Settimo Vittone and, in particular, its Castle with the 9^th century Baptistery are one of the fundamental stops on the historical Francigena way: this was the itinerary covered by pilgrims from northern Europe to reach Rome and other holy sites of Christianity.
